Youthful Expressions Studio is a learning environment where students can explore art in a casual and one-on-one setting. Our class sizes are small at 8 students maximum, which provides us an opportunity to give each child the space and attention they need to express their artistic creativity.
We are currently affiliated with Fine Arts Blount and we hold all classes in the workshop which is located in the back of the ArtSpace Gallery.  This give the kids a great opportunity to be exposed to many different types of art in a real gallery setting. Cindy McDannel is the instructor for YEStudio. Cindy is a professional artist with over 20 years of local experience and has had many of her works displayed in the East Tennessee area.
She is the Vice President of Fine Arts Blount. Cindy majored in Fine/Commercial Art at the University of Evansville, Indiana and at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Her fine art medium of choice is acrylics. Cindy's daughter, Kassidi, is 11 years old and is already a talented artist. With no outlet for studio art offered to children in Kassidi's age range, Cindy and her mother, Mary Jane decided to provide an outlet of their own.

Mary Jane Booth (MJ), is Cindy's assistant at Youthful Expressions Studio. MJ is also Cindy's mother. They were in the graphic design/printing business together for nine years. Recently, they have worked together designing and editing the TN Car Trader magazine.
MJ is a professional photographer. She will occasionally be taking candid shots during class.
She will also photograph students with their art projects and post them on the YES Gallery page. Pictures of kid's artwork will also be posted at www.artsonia.com, where their art may be purchased on such items as t-shirts, mouse pads, tiles, etc.
